A Care Network That Puts You First.

At AdventHealth Cardiovascular Institute, formerly Florida Hospital Cardiovascular Institute, our care network features the very latest in cardiac care practiced by many of the country’s top specialists, with more experience in cardiology and vascular surgery than any other hospital in the country. We perform more open-heart surgeries and thoracic surgeries than any other hospital in Florida, and we’re the #1 heart transplant program in the Southeast. We even feature the very latest in pacemaker technology with the Micra transcatheter pacing system, the world’s smallest. It restores hearts to their natural rhythm in just minutes, leaving no visible physical reminders seen with traditional implants. It’s just one way we’re making sure your care with us is on pace.

AdventHealth is recognized as the #1 hospital in Florida by U.S. News & World Report.

Arrhythmias & Atrial Fibrillation

We treat arrhythmias and atrial fibrillation using advanced technologies and procedures. The electrophysiology team skillfully diagnoses heart-rhythm abnormalities and treats patients with leading-edge therapies. And our cardiac surgeons are pioneers in minimally invasive surgery techniques that reduce scarring and pain while speeding up recovery.

Heart Failure

Our priority is detecting and treating heart failure. We provide the most advanced procedures available and offer a wide range of minimally invasive surgical options for patients who may not be candidates for open-heart surgery. When necessary, our extensively experienced surgeons may place a ventricular assist device (VAD). And we performed more heart transplants than any other hospital in the southeastern United States during 2016.

Heart Valve Disease

We provide patients with advanced treatment options in the fight against valve disease. Our skilled surgeons safely treat complex heart valve conditions, offering hope to those who were once told their condition was too difficult or too risky to treat. That’s why we offer the minimally invasive MitraClip® as an alternative to surgery. Or the transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedure, which is the replacement of the valve through a catheter.
